Code of Conduct
The goal of all SHE events, whether field trips, classes, or meetings, is to provide academic and social benefit to all participants. In order to facilitate this goal, it is crucial that everyone show the utmost respect and courtesy to others within the group and to all involved in making the event possible.
Parent Guidelines
Parents, please observe the following guidelines.
-
Parental participation is mandatory.
-
Work in a spirit of cooperation and unity.
-
Respect the beliefs and opinions of other members. We ask that parents use discretion when discussing topics that might be contrary to another parent’s belief system.
-
Abide by and enforce any rules set for our group by the Team and/or host facilities.
-
Parents are ultimately responsible for their children's actions and behavior at all times.
-
If you need to speak directly to a child about a specific behavior or a comment, please follow up with the child's parent to make them aware of the situation.
Child Guidelines
Children should observe the following guidelines. (Parents are responsible for making sure their children understand and abide by the guidelines.)
-
Show respect for everyone in words and actions.
-
Show respect for all property.
-
Participate willingly. Anyone causing disruption will be asked to leave.
-
No knives or other like objects are permitted at SHE events.
-
Show respect to the host facility by walking inside buildings, using quiet voices, and abiding by food and drink policy.
-
Do not leave the activity or room without the permission of a parent or teacher.
-
Clean up after yourself.
-
Public displays of affection are not allowed.
Dress Code
There is no dress code for SHE activities. We believe that parents are responsible not only for their child’s education, but also their attire. We are a diverse group and enjoy the variety that each family brings. However, if something offends you, please speak to the parent of the child and lovingly share your concern with the parent directly.
